Environmental Services, Inc.'s (ESI) Site Assessment and Remediation Division facilitates commercial property transactions and maximizes the value of land.

ESI employees perform due diligence studies to assess for potential contamination and provide solutions for the rehabilitation of impacted properties to applicable environmental standards.

Specializing in an increasingly complex regulatory arena, ESI has developed close working relationships with federal, state and local agency personnel to achieve Site Rehabilitation Completion Orders (SRCOs) and No Further Action (NFA) status for site redevelopment or facility compliance.

ESI’s staff in its Site Assessment and Remediation Division includes a diverse group of environmental professionals comprising professional geologists, hydrogeologists, environmental professionals as defined by EPA's All Appropriate Inquiry Rule (AAI), environmental scientists, solid and hazardous waste specialists, and qualified environmental technicians.

* ESI does not provide engineering or land surveying services in North Carolina and such services in North Carolina are contracted to appropriately licensed individuals and firms.


Spencer Mitchell, Senior Manager

Mr. Mitchell  is a skilled scientist with a Master’s degree in Geology and is registered as a Professional Geologist. Mr. Mitchell has extensive experience managing and conducting environmental site assessments and remediation including drilling, installing monitoring wells, core descriptions, and soil, soil-gas, water and sediment sampling. He has experience with assessing health risks at hazardous waste sites, and also possesses knowledge of a large number of chemical hazards and their health effects. Mr. Mitchell has experience with laboratory analysis and procedures ensuring proper quality assurance and quality control.
